Dear Amanda,

Electric bikes (e-bikes) have been steadily growing in popularity as people look for transport options that can lower costs, improve health and even beat the traffic. As such, many hospitality venues like cafés are choosing to offer e-bike chargers to attract more customers while promoting sustainable mobility.

When selecting a charging facility for your venue, you should prioritise reliability and ease of maintenance as these will help your customers make the most of your chargers. The ideal solutions will support a wide range of models and feature user-friendly, rugged design with intuitive condition monitoring. You may also choose to offer stations with built-in connectors, so customers do not have to bring their own.

Spelsberg BCS Pure charging solutions with integrated connectors are compatible with common Shimano and Bosch systems. The range features an LED status display plus mounted cable holder, while our BCS 3 solution is fitted with UK sockets and offers a flexible, compact charging solution. Both charging stations are tested for a large operating temperature range, providing continuous year-round use in protected outdoor areas.

To ensure reliability, our BCS Pure and BCS 3 charging points offer an ingress protection (IP) rating of IP54 and IP44 respectively, preventing dust and water splashes from entering their structures, as well as IK08 impact resistance, one of the highest industrial levels. When it comes to adverse weather conditions, the BCS range is designed to withstand extreme temperatures that range between -25 ˚C and +40˚C.

You can find out more about our range of charging stands for e-bikes or explore how charging stations work on our website.

If you have additional questions on our solutions for e-mobility or specific requests that relate to your café, please feel free to send me a private message to discuss them.

Kind Regards,

Chris
