Hello SamClark,
Thanks for your enquiry!
Enclosures with clear covers are extremely helpful to operators that want to have full visibility over electrical components, displays or important labels without the need to repeatedly open the lid. Thus, see-through solutions are particularly suited for applications where dust and/or water ingress should be prevented.
Spelsberg offers a wide variety of electrical enclosures and distribution boards with transparent covers, as well as opaque. In this way, we can help you to see any items within the enclosure at a glance. Since there are many varied applications that may require a transparent lid, our offerings include products with different ingress protection (IP) ratings and made of various materials.
You can find an overview of which Spelsberg’s range of enclosures would work best in a certain environment here: https://www.spelsberg.com/service/technical-information/technical-information/overview-of-the-installation-areas-and-the-recommended-els-installation-systems/
Further information on the materials properties of our different enclosures can be found here: https://www.spelsberg.com/service/technical-information/technical-information/properties-of-materials/
Once you have identified the most suitable material and IP rating you can use Spelsberg’s product finder tool on our website to find the right enclosure for a given application: https://www.spelsberg.co.uk/product-finder/
If you are not satisfied by any of our existing enclosure types, we are able to supply fully customised products to deliver you with the ideal solution for your project. If you have additional needs concerning your enclosure and its lid, please feel free to send me a private message to discuss the specific requirements of your intended application.
Kind Regards,
Chris
