Dear Martin,
Great question! The short answer is yes.
At Spelsberg we’re passionate about creating high-quality products that are safe, inspiring and green. We believe that excellence and sustainability work together, as demonstrated by our ISO 14001 accreditation. This international standard shows our commitment to regulatory compliance where our customers need it as environmental legislation continues to impact businesses across the globe. It also recognises our dedication to ongoing environmental improvement.
Our dedication to using high-quality materials led to specifying polypropylene copolymer (PPC) for our IBT range of enclosures designed for use in concrete constructions. This versatile material is also known as plastic type 5 under the Resin Identification/Plastic Recycling Code. It is fully recyclable and can also withstand four closed loops of recycling as well as being suitable for both mechanical and chemical processing.
Our customers need enclosures that perform effectively across several features, and PPC delivers great results without compromising on sustainability:
- PPC is lightweight compared to other plastics making it ideal for use in concrete applications.
- Flexible ingress protection that meets your needs. From IBT Precon junction boxes that offer IP30 protection to universal installation housing rated to IPX4, you can find the enclosure that fits your needs.
- PPC is ideal for use where electrical protection is a priority. The range includes protection class II rated junction boxes for installations that require safe electrical separation.
You can find out more about our safe, inspiring and green principles on our website, where you can also explore all our solutions for concrete construction.
If you have additional questions or would like to discuss a bespoke fully-recyclable enclosure, please feel free to send me a private message to discuss your requirements.
Kind Regards,
Chris
