Hi,
Just curious if all of your enclosures, either for prefabricated part or cast-in-place concrete applications, are recyclable?
Thanks for your time!

Hello Adam,
The short answer is yes.
Sustainability is one of Spelsber’s three core principles and we are committed to continuously improve our products, processes and methods in order to help humans and the environment. Based on this philosophy, we chose to use fully recyclable polypropylene (PP) copolymer for our IBT range of enclosures aimed to support concrete constructions.
This material, described as plastic type 5 by the Resin Identification Code/ Plastic Recycling Code, offers great flexibility when it comes to recycling. Not only is PP fully recyclable, it can also withstand four closed loops of recycling and is suitable for both mechanical and chemical processing.
In addition, leachates from PP caused by weathering have been evaluated as one of the least hazardous among different types of plastic, making the material particularly sustainable.
