Do fire-resistant enclosures have adjustable mounting rails?

Short answer

Yes. Our Lifeline WKE 2-6 range of fire-rated enclosures is designed with height-adjustable mounting rails that can be set in two different positions, providing space for installing single or double terminals as well as fuse holders. The terminal block sits on the mounting rail in the high position, while the low position is ideal for specific applications such as D0 (NEOZED) fuse mounting. The enclosures are attached by two external, pre-fitted lugs that rotate through 90 degrees, and the terminal block can be adapted on the base carrier in 45-degree steps by adjusting a central screw on a sliding bracket.

Alongside the obvious durability and resistance to extreme heat, businesses looking for a fire-resistant electrical enclosure often need a flexible setup, one that can accommodate application-specific needs as well as variations in the electrical system. Adjustable mounting rails are one of the features that contribute to a suitable, versatile solution, and the motto of our Lifeline WKE 2-6 range of fire-rated enclosures is ‘be flexible’.

In addition, all enclosures from the Lifeline WKE 2-6 series can be attached quickly but securely by two external, pre-fitted lugs that can be rotated through 90 degrees. The terminal block can also be adapted on the base carrier in 45-degree steps by adjusting a central screw on a sliding bracket. Installers therefore benefit from a high degree of flexibility and ease of installation.
